 -- Sub-flooring supported by floor joists

-- Beam/sill supports floor joists and rests on the pier cap

-- Metal strap is nailed to the beam/sill and placed into the wet concrete

-- 10" concrete sonotube formed column pier cap (see picture below)

 

-- 24" x 24" x 12" concrete pad*

 

 

 

* Concrete pad is built 24" below the soil grade.

 

-- Sonotube pier cap reinforced with steel cage of #4 rebar secured with metal ties*

 

 

 

-- Concrete pad reinforced with six #4 rebar secured with metal ties*

 

 

 

* All steel/rebar is new billet steel bars grade 40 or better

* All concrete is 5 sac mix with minimum 28 day compressive strength of 2,500 lbs/in²
